Craig Nicholls: "Get Free" is about doing what you want. It's a combination of strength and pain, fear and excitement. "Getting free" can mean anything, like sleeping in until three in the afternoon every day if that's what you want - that's getting free. For me, though, getting free is in the music. Patrick Matthews: This one sounded really good as a demo. We were talking about this being a single when we didn't even have a deal. People say it's a bit like The Stooges, but we never really used to listen to them. (NME, May 2002)
