The 983rd single to be wrenched from the bottomless pit of neo-grunge brilliance that is 'Highly Evolved", this is a gulp-inducing warning to all those who would dare tread on The Vines' sneakers. "Outtathaway!" shrieks Craig Nicholls, as skeletal guitars rattle, drums go KERRRUUUNCH and every two-bit 'rock' band within a million-mile radius scurries to the nearest nuclear bunker. Remarkably, the B-sides are even better. 'Don't Go' is a garage band trapped in a garage, a live 'Get Free' is larynx-shredding Lemsip-rock and 'Ms Jackson' sees the "Woooo!'s of OutKast's original traded, judiciously, for a lorry-load of "WEURRGGH!"s. Their motto? Don't get even, get MAD. (SD)
